Memory Lane

(…Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs / Of every head he’s had the pleasure to have known …)

I was digging through some files stored on a file server at home.  After writing that last sentence it occurs to me that not everybody has an 8 terabyte Network Attached Server (NAS) at home. Today that seems like a lot of storage, in a few years not so much, and of course, the preferred storage method will be in the cloud.

(…And all the people that come and go / Stop and say hello..)

Anyway, I found bit and pieces of blog posts from 2005-2008. I cleaned up the formatting as well as I could and posted them by year.   I did not try to fix any hyperlinks.  Most of the links were to pictures on the old site that no longer exists.  The lack of links does not materially affect the context of the blogs – at least it did not for me.

(…On the corner is a banker with a motorcar / The little children laugh at him behind his back / And the banker never wears a mac in the pouring rain / Very strange…)

And what a busy time in my family’s life!  Concerts from Herman’s Hermits (Peter Noone liked my Beatles tie and said he would mention it to Sir Paul), Paul Revere, Rockapella, Tom Petty, John Prine, Billy Joel, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Garrison Keillor, Lucinda Williams, and Sir Paul McCartney, visits and visitors, trips to dozens of states and a few countries, a birth (Hunter), deaths (Jean, Louise, Norbert, and Toni’s mother), numerous graduations, my flying lessons and the varied but glorious trials and tribulations of everyday life. I hope we pass the test!

(…Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes /  Wet beneath the blue suburban skies / I sit and meanwhile back in…)

I will post more oldies as I find them.
